This year's FLL Project is "Animal Allies" and Team 7407 C.A.K.E. B.A.T.T.E.R.S. picked the Zebra as their animal as this is a favorite animal of one of the team members. As we consulted our resident expert we found that the zebra population is shrinking in Africa. Further investigation we found out that the Africa Ranchers livestock and the zebra are wanting to inhabit the same land and unfortunately the zebra is loosing the battle. So our quest was to find a use for the zebra.
The FTC season has finished and we are proud to have recieved the "Think" Award for our Engineering Notebook and journey through the season. Our final ranking was that we were 7th in our League and 67th in the state. This is a great accomplishment as we finished the robot design for the last competition that was held in January of this year. The team will be expanding next year as we have 4 members bridging up from FLL (C.A.K.E. B.A.T.T.E.R.S.) Team. We are proud to have them join us.
You will find that girls now-a-days are concerned about the air we breathe.... Following are some of their "Alerts
- Don't kill your lungs with smoke....fill them with oxygen
- Don't fill your lungs with tar!
- Would you smoke if the tar was on the outside
- Why waste your money on smoke...oxygen is free
Congrats to the (Jessica)2 Team in placing overall Third Place in the Deep Water Transfer and First Place in the Middle School Class. The girls did a great job removing all the rope rings from the rack in the deep end of the swimming pool. They were able to put one of the rings in the top box in the pool. They girls did a great job impressing the people running the competition.
